DIRECTOR - BRIAN OLSEN
BRIAN OLSEN is a director, performer, and writer from New York City. He studied acting at the National Shakespeare Conservatory and received his MFA in Directing from the Actors Studio Drama School at The New School. He's directed for such companies as the National Theatre for Arts and Education, the Saxtons River Playhouse, the Weathervane Playhouse, Gorilla Rep, and the Washington Shakespeare Festival, and assisted directed the world premiere of Sam Shepard's The God of Hell. He's the author of multiple queer science fiction and fantasy novels including Alan Lennox and the Temp Job of Doom and his young adult series Yesterday's Magic. He performs improv around NYC with his team Art Fire and is a member of the Upright Citizens Brigade's Maude sketch comedy team After School Snack.
Playwright - Kate Danley
Kate Danley spent five weeks on the USA TODAY bestseller list and has sold over half-a-million books globally. She has been honored with the Garcia Award for Best Fiction Book of the Year (The Woodcutter), McDougall Previews Award for Best Fantasy Book of the Year (Queen Mab), and her series Maggie MacKay: Magical Tracker is in television development.
She graduated from Towson University with a BS in Theatre and is a Maryland Distinguished Scholar in the Arts. Her plays have been produced internationally. Her screwball comedy Building Madness won the Panowski Playwriting Award; Power won the Renegade Theatre Festival; and Kings of the World won 3rd place in the 10x10x10 Festival. She trained in on-camera puppetry with Mr. Snuffleupagus and played the head of a 20-foot dinosaur on an NBC pilot. She sits on the national council of the Dramatists Guild and is the former regional representative of Seattle. She lost on Hollywood Squares. www.katedanley.com
